Brown Paper
A print studio site that feels like the press room.
Nairobi, Kenya · Live · 2026
The challenge
Brown Paper designs, prints, and brands from a Nairobi studio — identity, packaging, press work, and event display. Their physical work already refuses to blend in. The website could not read as a stock catalogue with a contact form. It had to carry material, process, and studio proof the same way a press check does.
What we built
Raven built an editorial Next.js site with a split-frame homepage, kraft-paper photography, and production language that matches how the studio actually works: brief, design, proof, deliver. Four service lines — brand identity, packaging, printing, display — have dedicated pages. Portfolio, about, and contact sit in the same system, with M-Pesa and studio logistics left honest in the FAQ.
The site had to feel like the work
Brown Paper’s clients include operators who already have brand guidelines and events that need display tomorrow. A thin marketing page would have sold printing as a commodity. We treated the homepage as a studio frame: type, kraft texture, and a claim that matches the press — the work refuses to blend in.

Service lines as a studio system
Brand identity, packaging, printing, and display each get a page with outputs a buyer can recognise — marks and guidelines, shelf-ready packs, press-ready stationery, event-ready banners. The process section is numbered the way a job bag is numbered: brief, design, proof, deliver. That is operations copy, not slogan copy.
What ships in production
brownpaper.co.ke runs on Next.js and Vercel. About, services, portfolio, and contact are live. The studio states hours, a Nairobi floor, phone, and email without a chatbot in the way. The build is credited — Website by Raven Tech Group — because the relationship is meant to be visible.
The outcome
A live studio front door with production language, not catalogue filler.
The site is live at brownpaper.co.ke. Visitors see the four studio lines, the four-step journey from brief to install, and Nairobi proof before they call. The footer credits Raven Tech Group because the build is part of the work, not a hidden vendor line.
